1st-place winner at the 2021 All-Women Global Virtual Hackathon hosted by The Expat Woman. Let's Disco is a SaaS platform that connects refugee women with remote ESL teachers — letting women managing childcare, limited transportation, or tight budgets learn English safely from home on a flexible schedule.

I'm Anna Mendez Perdomo — a Software Development Manager based in Southern California with 8+ years building front-end-heavy SaaS applications. I specialize in React, TypeScript, and Material UI, and I love turning complex UX requirements into pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces. I also speak Japanese at an advanced conversational level — I studied abroad at Nanzan University in Nagoya and earned a B.A. in Japanese, Magna Cum Laude, from Cal State Fullerton.
Outside the terminal, I'm a maker in every sense. Crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, sewing, nail art — if it involves yarn, thread, or a hook, I'm probably doing it. I also play piano and sing.
